INSTRUCTIONS

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
-
To prevent short circuits this product should only be used indoors and
only in dry rooms. Do not expose the components to rain or moisture. Do
not use near a bath, swimming pool, etc.

Only connect MT10 to the mains after you have ensured that the mains
voltage matches that shown on the type plate. Never connect the mains
cable if it is damaged. In the event of damage please contact you
supplier.

Never expose your system's components to extremely high temperatures or
bright light.

Never open the equipment. Parts of the equipment have a very high
voltage. Repairs or maintenance should be undertaken by qualified
service personnel only.
All warranties are invalidated in the event of incorrect use, unauthorised
modifications or repairs. Marmitek accepts no responsibility in the event of
incorrect use of the product or if it is used other than for the intended
purpose.
1. INSTALLATION
Place a 9V block battery in the battery compartment on the underside of the
timer. Plug the adapter into a wall socket. Set the House Code (A...P) by
turning the dial [3] on top of the unit using a screwdriver or coin.
Note: If the battery is empty, the LED text "battery low" will light up
[13].
SETTING THE CLOCK
Set the mode selector [1] to "SET CLOCK". Set the time by pressing the
<TIME> buttons [2]. Keep an eye on the "PM" [14] light. When the "PM" LED
is off, the time is AM, when the "PM" LED is on, the time is PM.
2. MANUAL CONTROL
Marmitek X10 modules can be manually controlled by pressing the 1-5, 2-6,
3-7 and 4-8 buttons [4]. Depending on the setting of the selector 1-4 <>
5-8 [10], the ON/OFF buttons control modules 1 through 4 OR 5 through 8.
Press the ON side of a button to activate a module [4].
Press the OFF side of a button to deactivate a module [4].
To dim a lamp connected to a Lamp Module, you must first press the ON side
of the button with the same Unit Code as the module and then "Bright <>
Dim" [5].
SWITCH ON ALL LIGHTS
You can switch on all the lights connected to any of the Lamp Modules with
one press of a button. Press "ALL LIGHTS ON" [6] to switch on all the Lamp
Modules with the same House Code as the timer (modules 1 through 16).
SWITCH OFF ALL MODULES
You can also switch off all Marmitek X10 modules with one press of a button
To do this press "ALL UNITS OFF" [6].
3. PROGRAMMING ACTIONS
You can pre-program actions for 4 different (groups of) modules. You can
select modules 1 through 4 or 5 through 8. You can select the modules by
setting the selector to 1-4 or 5-8 [10].
HOW TO PROGRAM:
1.
Set the mode selector to "PROG. SET" [1].
2.
Set the unit selector to Unit Code 1-4 or 5-8 [10].
3.
Set the time using the <TIME> buttons.
ATTENTION:
make sure that for actions taking place in the morning the "PM" LED is
switched off [13]. With actions that take place in the afternoon, the "PM"
LED should be lit.

Press ON for the module you want to activate at the selected time [4]. If
you want to switch off a module at the selected time, press OFF [4].
Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the next action you want to pre-program.
Note: If you want to program more than two actions for the same module, the
display will read 18:88. To reset the display, switch the mode selector to "PROG.
REVIEW" [1] and press the OFF button [4] of the module you were programming.
Follow the instructions under "Clearing actions" to make room for the action
you want to program. When you are finished programming the times, switch the
selector back to "RUN".
VIEWING PROGRAMMED ACTIONS
Switch the mode selector to "PROG. REVIEW". Press the ON or OFF side of the
switch of the module you want to view the actions for. Press the ON or OFF
side twice to also see the second programmed time.
CLEARING ACTIONS
You can clear every pre-programmed action separately First view the
programmed actions and press "CLEAR" [11] if you want to erase the time
indicated.
NON-RECURRENT ACTIONS
If you want to program an action that should be executed only once, press
the "ONCE" button [8] within 4 seconds of programming the action and
pressing the ON or OFF button.
4. USING THE ALARM
Use the alarm function and you'll never have to wake up in a dark room
again. The alarm setting is connected to the setting for module 1 (or 5). If
the "WAKE UP" switch [12] is set to ON, the alarm will sound at the time
programmed for the ON side of module 1 (or 5). See "Programming actions" for
instructions on how to set the timer for a module. If the alarm sounds,
press any button on the timer to turn the alarm off. The alarm is now silent
and will sound again after 10 minutes (snooze). The activated module will
remain on until you press the OFF button for the module. You can turn the
alarm off by setting the "WAKE UP" switch to OFF,
DEACTIVATING THE ALARM
You can deactivate the alarm by setting the "WAKE UP" switch [12] to OFF.
The alarm will then not sound the next morning. The lamp programmed under
button 1 (or 5) will however be switched on at the programmed time. If you
do not want the lamp to switch on, set the mode selector [1] to "SET CLOCK".
5. USING THE SECURITY FUNCTION
You can use the Security function to make sure burglars do not realise your
lights are switched on by a timer. The Security function adds a random
number of minutes (max. 60 min.) to the time programmed. You can activate
the Security function by pressing the "SECURITY" button [9] after step 4 in
the programming routine (Security works both for the ON as OFF times).
6. USING THE SLEEP FUNCTION
Press the ON button of the module you want to have switched on at a later
time and then press the "SLEEP" button (7) within 4 seconds. The module will
now be switched off after 15 minutes (Press twice for 30 minutes, three
times for 45 minutes, etc.). You can also automatically switch on a module
at a later time by pressing OFF instead of ON at the beginning of the
procedure.
